I was 15 when I first understood what I had. I knew something was different about my chest, the dip, the way it changed under certain light, the things I quietly stopped doing because of it. But I did not have a name for it until a doctor looked at me and said "pectus excavatum" like it was nothing.
Before any of it. The photos I spent years making sure nobody took.
The recommendation was wait and see. If it gets worse, surgery. That answer was not acceptable to me. I started researching obsessively, forums, clinical papers, anything I could find on non-surgical correction. What existed was fragmented, mostly anecdotal, and almost always incomplete.
So I bought a vacuum bell. I put together a breathing and exercise protocol out of a dozen disconnected sources and I measured everything. Over the next three years I produced real, visible correction. Not a complete erasure of the depression, but a meaningful structural change to both the sunken chest and the rib flare that came with it.
People had devices, but not protocols. They had information, but not structure.
I put the site up in 2015 to build the thing I had needed at 15. It launched under the name Pectus Excavatum Fix, which is exactly as subtle as it sounds, and became mrpectus later. Along the way I qualified as a Level 5 DUKE Institute Certified Personal Trainer, took a design degree so I could build and illustrate all of it myself, and wrote Breathe Deeper, 1,127 pages of research and practical protocol. Eleven years later it has worked with more than 1,000 people across pectus excavatum, carinatum and rib flare.
I am not a doctor and I do not claim to be. I am someone who went through this from the inside, built a structured approach out of the evidence, and refined it across a thousand cases. That is what all of this is built on.
