Pectus got into your head.
Take it back first.

The mirror problem outlasts the chest problem unless you deal with it directly.

Trusted by
01 / The half nobody addresses

The mirror got into
your head.

Every device and program targets the chest. Almost none address what the chest did to your mind, the avoidance, the monitoring, the way one body part started running your decisions.

You avoid the beach, the pool, the changing room
Whole categories of life quietly got crossed off, not because of the chest itself, but because of what being seen feels like.
You monitor how you look constantly
Angles, lighting, what shirt, who's looking, a background process that never switches off and exhausts you.
Correction is slow and your mood rides on it
When your sense of self is fused to a chest that changes over months, every plateau feels like a verdict.
Social situations feel like exposure
Dating, the gym, taking your shirt off, even certain conversations, appearance anxiety turns ordinary moments into ordeals you brace for.
You’ve tried to “just be confident” and failed
Willpower doesn't fix body image, structured tools do.
It’s affecting things that have nothing to do with your chest
Opportunities not taken, words not said, a smaller life, the cost of low body-image confidence spreads far past the gym mirror.
The part that matters

Body image isn't fixed.
It doesn't wait.

The same CBT approaches with strong evidence for body-image problems work here too, adapted for pectus. You can rebuild confidence on a parallel track, starting now, not one millimetre at a time.

My son is 15 and had started keeping a shirt on in the pool, which is how I worked out something was wrong in the first place, because he certainly wasn't going to tell me. He would never have stuck with the brace on his own. It was the fortnightly check-ins that did it - he didn't want to turn up with nothing to report. Six months now and the ridge has visibly come down. He swims without the shirt.

Before You Start · Straight Answers

What people ask
before they begin.

The four that come up most, answered the same way I would answer them on a call.

Take the 60-second quiz
How long before I see a change?+

Posture and breathing shift inside the first few weeks. Visible chest change is slower - in the case log above, Milo hit his at 2 months, Ian at 6. The programs run 16 weeks because that is how long it takes to show in the mirror.

Am I too old for this to work?+

Almost certainly not. The clients on this page were 22 to 32 when they started. Cartilage stiffens with age, so progress is slower, but slower is not stopped. Age changes the timeline, not whether it is worth doing.

Do I need a gym, or can I do this at home?+

Either works. Every program ships with a gym track and a no-equipment track for the same 16 weeks, and you can switch between them mid-program without losing your place.

Pectus excavatum, carinatum, rib flare - is it the same plan?+

No, and that matters. A sunken chest and a protruding chest need close to opposite work, and rib flare rides along with both. There is a separate program for each, if you are not sure which you have, the 60-second quiz sorts it out.

04 / What changes

Confidence that doesn’t
wait for the chest.

From hiding it to fixing it
From hiding it to fixing it
The flinch loses its grip
Changing rooms, the pool, the bedroom, systematic desensitisation drains the charge out of the moments you've been avoiding.
The constant monitoring quiets down
The background scan of how you look starts to switch off, freeing up the mental bandwidth it's been eating.
Your mood stops riding on millimetres
You hold correction as a long-term process instead of a daily verdict on your worth, which, ironically, makes sticking with it easier.
Social situations feel ordinary again
Dating, the gym, conversations, the exposure hierarchy rebuilds confidence in the exact situations that felt like ordeals.
You take chances you were skipping
The opportunities low body-image confidence was quietly costing you start getting taken.
You’re a person who happens to have a chest condition
Not a chest condition with a person attached. The cognitive separation that gives you yourself back.
05 / What’s inside

Everything inside
the program.

Evidence-based, focused, and adapted specifically for the psychology of pectus, four core chapters, plus a daily practice, a 4-week plan and three bonus toolkits.

  1. Body Image SciencePart 01

Why pectus messes with confidence, and why that reaction is documented and normal, not weak. The spotlight effect, the self-worth pie, and the research showing body image is changeable.

  2. The Thought Tools (CBT)Part 02

Cognitive restructuring adapted for pectus: the catch → challenge → replace loop, the exact thinking traps a pectus chest produces, and a 60-second worksheet.

  3. Stop HidingPart 03

A gentle exposure ladder out of avoidance, plus specific game plans for the gym locker room, the pool and beach, and dating and intimacy.

  4. The Progress MindsetPart 04

How to hold physical correction as a long-term project without it owning your identity, and the self-compassion that makes it sustainable.

  5. The Daily PracticePart 05

All four tools in one under-10-minute daily routine: a morning reframe, standing tall, one brave action, a self-compassion line and a daily win.

  6. The 4-Week PlanPart 06

A gentle month that builds it into a habit, Week 1 awareness, Week 2 reframe, Week 3 stop hiding, Week 4 compassion and integrate.

  7. Bonus · Meditation & AnxietyPart 07

Why 10 minutes a day loosens the grip of anxious thoughts, how to start with guided sessions, and how meditation compounds with the CBT work.

  8. Bonus · In-the-Moment ToolkitPart 08

Your emergency kit for when panic spikes at the pool or changing room, a 60-second 4-step reset and three lines to keep in your back pocket.

  9. Bonus · Comparison & SetbacksPart 09

Defuse the comparison machine in your pocket, and learn why a bad day is a Tuesday, not a relapse, with reframes that get you back on track.

Me, 11+ years in pectus
I had it myself
08 / Who built this

I had it. I fixed it.
Now I help you do the same.

I'm not writing this as a doctor looking at a scan. I had the sunken chest, the flared ribs, the shirt that stayed on at the pool, and nobody could tell me what actually works.

Years of consistent, non-surgical training made mine unnoticeable. Everything on this page exists because I needed it to exist ten years ago.

I tested all of it on my own body first, then refined it every time someone hit a wall I had not planned for.

Had it
Not a theory to me

Common questions.

Is this a substitute for therapy?+

No. It’s evidence-based self-help that adapts well-supported CBT approaches (cognitive restructuring, graded exposure, self-compassion) for pectus body image. It’s a powerful toolkit for most people, but if you’re in real distress, please also work with a qualified mental-health professional.

How is the program structured, and how long does it take?+

Four core chapters (body-image science, the CBT thought tools, stop hiding, and the progress mindset), then a daily practice under 10 minutes and a step-by-step 4-week plan, plus three bonus toolkits (meditation, an in-the-moment reset, and comparison/setbacks). You can read it in a sitting, but the value comes from practising it over the following weeks. It’s self-paced and private.

Will this help if my chest isn’t corrected yet?+

That’s exactly who it’s for. Confidence doesn’t have to wait for full physical correction, the whole point is to rebuild it on a parallel track, starting now, so your mood stops riding on slow progress.

Is it specific to pectus or generic confidence advice?+

It’s adapted specifically for pectus conditions, the body-image patterns, the avoidance and the correction-journey mindset that come with a visible chest difference. Not recycled generic confidence content.

Will this actually change how I feel at the pool or beach?+

That situation (shirt off, people around) is one of the core scenarios the exposure work targets. Not with "just be confident" advice, but with a graded ladder you climb at your own pace, plus a 60-second in-the-moment reset for when the panic spikes, so the situation loses its charge step by step.

Does it include meditation?+

Yes, there’s a bonus section on meditation and anxiety. Ten minutes a day loosens the grip of anxious thoughts and compounds with the CBT tools, and it walks you through how to actually start (including a free option). It won’t change your chest; it changes how tightly the thoughts about it hold you.

What happens when I have a bad day or a setback?+

That’s built into the plan. A whole bonus section covers comparison, social media and setbacks, why a bad day is a Tuesday and not a relapse, and gives you the reframes to get back on track without spiralling.

Is this just positive thinking?+

No, positive thinking is exactly the approach that fails with body image. This is structured cognitive work: identifying the specific distorted thoughts pectus produces (mind-reading, spotlight effect, catastrophising), testing them, and retraining the pattern. It’s a method, not a mood.

I avoid mirrors and photos completely, where do I start?+

With the stop-hiding chapter, which starts exactly there. Avoidance shrinks your life a little at a time, mirrors, photos, pools, dating, and the program rebuilds each one gradually. You never jump to the deep end; that’s the point of graded exposure.

Does it cover dating and intimacy anxiety?+

Yes, the fear of the shirt coming off in front of someone is one of the most common pectus anxieties, and the program addresses it directly: the anticipation spiral, the disclosure question, and the exposure steps that dissolve it.

Am I too old for this to work?+

No. The cognitive patterns are the same whether you’ve carried them for five years or twenty-five, and the CBT toolset it adapts is evidence-based across ages. Longer-held habits take more repetitions, not a different method.

How do I get access after checkout?+

Straight away. The moment your payment clears, an email goes out with your link and the password that opens it — usually inside a minute. Read it on a phone, a tablet or a laptop; the password is typed once per device and then the page just opens. If it hasn't arrived in ten minutes, check spam, then message me and I'll send it over myself. Lifetime access, free updates, nothing to ship.

What if it’s not for me?+

Email me inside 30 days and I'll refund you in full. This one deals with how you feel about your chest, and if it lands wrong for you I don't want your money for it.
