Six questions. If you're nodding at most of them, you're on the right page.
Your chest sticks out through your shirts
The ridge pushes against every fitted top, a pointed, visible bump down the centre of your chest that you're constantly aware of.
You've been quoted surgery or 'just wait'
It's one extreme or the other: an invasive operation, or being told to leave it.
You dread being shirtless
Pools, changing rooms, the bedroom, the beach, the ridge makes all of it a calculation, and you're tired of doing the maths.
You're worried it's still growing
Carinatum often becomes more pronounced through growth spurts.
Braces you found looked medieval
Old-style carinatum braces are rigid, obvious and miserable to wear.
Nobody told you it's highly correctable
Carinatum cartilage is usually flexible and responds beautifully to steady pressure.
The part that changes everything
Carinatum is the most fixable pectus there is.
Steady compression on flexible cartilage remodels it, Wolff's Law, and dynamic bracing corrects the vast majority of compliant, flexible cases. You almost certainly do not need surgery.

02 / The device
Meet the carinatum brace.
Adjustable silicone pads on a slim frame that sit over the apex of your ridge and press it back toward flat, invisibly, under your clothes. Drag it to inspect the exact brace that ships to you.
Drag to rotate 360°
03 / How it works
Steady compression. A ridge that settles flat.
Carinatum cartilage is usually flexible, which is why sustained, directed compression is the recognised first-line treatment worldwide. This brace supplies exactly that, measured to your chest.
Dial-controlled
Progressive pressure
Firm and comfortable, raise it as the ridge responds
76–92%success in modern bracing series
01 / Target
Pads land on the apex of the ridge
Built from your measurements, the brace places adjustable silicone pads directly over the high point of your protrusion, centred or off-centre, wherever yours actually is. Every unit of pressure works on the exact cartilage that needs to move, which is where off-the-shelf braces miss.
POC/POTthe measured pressure system that makes carinatum bracing actually work · Martinez-Ferro 2008
02 / Compress
Comfortable, constant load, hour after hour
Pain is not progress: effective compression is firm, steady and wearable, because the hours are what correct. The dial lets you find that range and raise it click by click as your chest responds, and the brace stays slim enough to disappear under a T-shirt at school or work.
>12 h/daythe wear threshold that separates success from failure · compliance studies
03 / Settle
The ridge remodels back toward the chest wall
Under sustained load, flexible cartilage remodels (Wolff's Law) and the protrusion gradually settles flat, then a tapered maintenance phase keeps it there while the correction consolidates. Done properly, the ridge that comes down stays down.

Compliant patients show 33–44% reduction in sternal rotation, full citations in the evidence section below.
04 / Instructions
How to wear it.
Four steps. A minute to put on once you know it, and the routine is yours for good.
STEP 01
Find the apex of your ridge
Run a finger down your chest to the highest point of the ridge. That is where the pressure lands.
STEP 02
Seat the pads and close it
Set the pads over that high point and close the brace. The back panel sits flat between your shoulder blades.
STEP 03
Set the dial to firm, never painful
Turn the adjuster until the pressure feels steady and even across the ridge. Firm, never sharp.
STEP 04
Build the hours, then raise the pressure
Break in over the first week, then build toward 14–23 hours a day. Click the dial up as the ridge settles.
05 / The question everyone asks
But does it really work?
Fair question. The answer starts 280 years ago, and the very first chest ever braced this way was a carinatum chest, exactly like yours.
1741 · Nicolas Andry
The Father of Orthopedics writes it down
The idea is older than you would guess. In 1741 Nicolas Andry, the man who coined the word orthopedics, published L’orthopédie ou l’art de prévenir et de corriger dans les enfants, les difformités du corps.
What he argued, long before anyone could measure it:
“Bones and cartilage are living substances that reshape under consistent pressure.”
Nicolas Andry, 1741
Andry’s crooked tree, still the symbol of orthopedics today.
The emblem of orthopedics
A crooked tree, straightened by support
This symbolic crooked tree became the symbol of Orthopedics. It was first proposed by Nicolas Andry in his book.
His emblem illustrated a tree that, like a growing child with a deformity, could be straightened through proper support.
That is the whole idea behind a carinatum brace, 280 years early.
1892 · Julius Wolff
Wolff’s Law: bone obeys force
Over 150 years later in 1892, German surgeon Julius Wolff expanded on Andry’s observations and published The Law of Bone Remodelling.
His conclusion became known as Wolff’s Law, which is accepted as a law in Orthopaedics:
“Bone tissue is a dynamic structure that can be remodeled according to external forces.”
Wolff’s Law, 1892
The part that matters to you
The method was invented for your chest.
1977 · The first patient
Dynamic Remodeling starts with carinatum
In 1977, Brazilian orthopedist Dr. Sydney Haje developed the Dynamic Remodeling Method and went on to treat nearly 5,000 patients during his career.
He started with a pectus carinatum patient.
He created a custom brace that applied pressure directly to the protruding chest, and it worked. Everything that followed, including the rib flare and excavatum bracing that came a decade later, was adapted from that first carinatum case.
Carinatum is not the afterthought of pectus bracing. It is the original.
Dr. Sydney Haje with his patients.
1977–2009 · Dr. Sydney Haje
32 years, 4,012 patients
This isn’t theory. It’s a law that is the foundation of modern orthopedics.
For 32 years (1977-2009), doctors studied 4,012 patients with chest deformities. What they discovered was remarkable.
Your chest can change shape.
Just as dental braces use consistent force to gradually reshape crooked teeth, a compression brace works the same way on a protruding chest.
Pairing the brace with exercise consistently outperforms the brace alone.
Today · The standard of care
Modern series: 76–92% corrected
Haje’s method became compression bracing as it is practised now, and the modern numbers hold up.
● Treatment success across modern bracing series: 76–92%
● Recurrence with proper maintenance: 2.6% across 1,185 patients
● Reduction in sternal rotation in compliant patients: 33–44%
The one variable that decides which group you land in is wear time. Above roughly 12 hours a day, the results follow.

first call he told me straight up itd take a year and id hate months 2 through 5. he was right about both lol. 12 months on and my PC is flat. took my shirt off at the beach in january without doing the whole towel thing
the brace is made really good, i wear it under the t-shirt at school and nobody has noticed in 4 months. my mother was crying when we compare the photos. sorry for my english
My son is 15 and had started keeping a shirt on in the pool, which is how I worked out something was wrong in the first place, because he certainly wasn't going to tell me. He would never have stuck with the brace on his own. It was the fortnightly check-ins that did it - he didn't want to turn up with nothing to report. Six months now and the ridge has visibly come down. He swims without the shirt.
read the blog for months before i actually did anything with it. no coach, no brace, just the stuff in the articles done properly. i feel a lot better now and the photos say the rest
Had the flare since i was about 14 and just assumed that was my ribcage, permanently. Brace plus the breathing drills and my mrs asked when i'd lost weight. I hadn't lost anything, it's just the ribs sitting where they should now.
didnt know you could be breathing wrong for 21 years. thats the whole thing right there. flare started going down on its own once i stopped breathing into my shoulders, which is not what i paid for but ill take it
the bell leaves a red ring on your chest the second you take it off, and nobody warns you about that. it fades within the hour and the skin has never been an issue since. 100% satisfied - the sternum sits higher than it has my whole life
He knows more about this than the two consultants I paid to see, which says more about them than it does about him. Showed my GP the 9 month photos and he asked me for the website. Half a star off because the time zones make the calls a nightmare from Ireland.
ive bought like four programs for this over the years and quit every one of them by week two. finished this one. i think its cus you cant move on until you can actually hold the position, so theres never that thing where you're guessing if youre ready or not
watched the youtube for six years before i spent a single cent. bought the program, did it properly for 7 months, and the only thing i actually regret is the six years
I went in wanting to debunk it, honestly. Started opening the citations one at a time and they were real papers that said what he said they said. That is a depressingly low bar and nowhere else online clears it.
bump is 0.5cm down in 5 months. bro i genuinely thought this was gonna be bench press for a year, its like 80% breathing drills and posture stuff. wasnt what i signed up for but i cant argue with the tape measure

“I'm 52. I have both a ridge and a dip, which I'm told is unusual, and I've had the pair of them since I was a boy. Nine kilos off in five months and for the first time my chest looks like one chest. I did not expect to be sorting this out at my age, but there we are.”
“3 months and 5kg later the ridge is sitting lower than its ever been. i was 100% convinced surgery was the only option, like id already looked up how much it costs and everything”

Before You Start · Straight Answers
What people ask before they begin.
The four that come up most, answered the same way I would answer them on a call.
Posture and breathing shift inside the first few weeks. Visible chest change is slower - in the case log above, Milo hit his at 2 months, Ian at 6. The programs run 16 weeks because that is how long it takes to show in the mirror.
Am I too old for this to work?+
Almost certainly not. The clients on this page were 22 to 32 when they started. Cartilage stiffens with age, so progress is slower, but slower is not stopped. Age changes the timeline, not whether it is worth doing.
Do I need a gym, or can I do this at home?+
Either works. Every program ships with a gym track and a no-equipment track for the same 16 weeks, and you can switch between them mid-program without losing your place.
Pectus excavatum, carinatum, rib flare - is it the same plan?+
No, and that matters. A sunken chest and a protruding chest need close to opposite work, and rib flare rides along with both. There is a separate program for each, if you are not sure which you have, the 60-second quiz sorts it out.
08 / Picture it flat
A chest that no longer enters the room first.
Me, corrected without surgery
Shirts sit flat down the centre
No more pointed ridge pressing through your tops. Fitted shirts stop drawing attention to the middle of your chest.
Shirtless stops being a calculation
Pools, beaches, changing rooms, the moment you've planned around for years becomes a non-event.
Your profile softens
From the side, the sharp forward point eases back in line with your chest wall. The silhouette you wanted.
You stand without compensating
The posture panel keeps your shoulders back, so you stop hunching to hide the ridge.
You did it the low-risk way
No bars, no anaesthetic, no scars, you used the method that carinatum responds to best, at home.
You stop bracing for the comment
The flinch you carry waiting for someone to notice your chest simply runs out of reasons to exist.
09 / Why this brace, not a rigid old one
Five reasons it corrects, and you can live in it.
The old carinatum braces are rigid, obvious and abandoned in a drawer within a week. This is built to be measured to you, adjustable, and slim enough to wear for the hours that actually move the ridge.
Custom 3D-fit compression
Silicone pads positioned over the exact apex of your protrusion, shaped and placed for your chest, so the pressure lands where the ridge actually is.
Dial-adjustable pressure
A simple adjuster lets you set a firm-but-comfortable pressure and increase it as your chest responds. The correction progresses with you.
Built to last and to train in
Durable enough to wear at the gym under your clothes. Pairing compression with exercise and breathing work is what makes results stick.
Safe, comfortable medical silicone
FDA-certified, medical-grade silicone pads, firm where it counts, gentle on your skin across the long daily hours bracing requires.
Integrated posture panel
A back panel keeps your shoulders drawn back so you stop hunching to hide the ridge, correcting the protrusion and the posture together.
10 / Nine reasons to skip the operating table
No bars. No scars. No reason to cut.
No pain
No surgery, no cutting.
No six-figure bills
A fraction of the cost of an operation, and carinatum is the type that least needs one.
No recovery
Nothing to recover from.
No daytime hassle
Slim and quiet under your clothes.
No surgical risk
No anaesthesia, no implant, no complications.
No age limit
Flexible chests correct fastest, but consistent compression helps across ages, discipline beats birthdays.
No waiting
No referrals or queues.
No hospital needed
Correct it at home, in private, entirely on your schedule.
No regrets
Bracing is the honest first move for carinatum.

11 / Who built this
I had it. I fixed it. Now I help you do the same.
I'm not writing this as a doctor looking at a scan. I had the sunken chest, the flared ribs, the shirt that stayed on at the pool, and nobody could tell me what actually works.
Years of consistent, non-surgical training made mine unnoticeable. Everything on this page exists because I needed it to exist ten years ago.
I tested all of it on my own body first, then refined it every time someone hit a wall I had not planned for.

A brace that fits and disappears under a shirt is a brace you'll wear 14–23 hours a day. You send me your measurements, I set it up around the apex of your ridge, and the dial lets you progress.
STEP 01
Measure your chest
Take the simple measurements I walk you through, the circumference at the protrusion and the location of its high point.
STEP 02
Send them to me
Order, then send your measurements by email, Instagram DM or WhatsApp.
STEP 03
Fit it over the ridge
Position the pads on the apex of your protrusion and set the dial to a firm, comfortable pressure.
STEP 04
Wear, progress, breathe
Wear it 14–23 hours a day early on, do the paired breathing and exercise work, and raise the pressure as the ridge settles back.
It's slim by design, wearable to school, work, the gym or in public without anyone noticing. If you're unsure about your measurements or how flexible your chest is, message me before you fit it and I'll help you set it correctly.
13 / Honest assessment
Whose chest this brace is actually built for.
It's for you if
A protruding chest
You have pectus carinatum, a ridge that pushes out at the front
The route PC responds to
Compression is what carinatum answers to best, and you want that
Daily wear is realistic
Consistent hours, plus the breathing and exercise around them
Invisible under a shirt
Slim enough to live in, not a rigid contraption you hide at home
Direct support
From the person who measured and set it up for you
It's not for you if
You want it passive
The ridge does not stay flat without the hours behind it
A rigid or complex chest
If a doctor has said it needs surgical review, start there instead
You want it overnight
Compression works over months, and only for the hours you give it
You want a generic strap
One costs less and fits worse; that trade is a real one
A brace applies the pressure; your consistency does the correcting. If a doctor has flagged a rigid or complex case, get it reviewed first.

Common questions.
Is carinatum really correctable without surgery?+
Yes, more so than any other pectus type. Carinatum cartilage is usually flexible, and steady compression is the recognised first-line, non-surgical treatment. Dynamic compression bracing corrects the protrusion in the large majority of compliant patients with flexible chests. Surgery is genuinely a last resort for carinatum, not a starting point.
How long until I see results?+
Flexible chests can show visible flattening within weeks to a few months of consistent wear. The firmer or more set the cartilage, the longer it takes. Daily wear time and pressure are the biggest factors, the dial lets you progress as your chest responds.
How many hours a day do I wear it?+
Early on, aim for 14–23 hours a day depending on how your chest responds and how comfortable the pressure is. It’s slim enough to wear under clothes and to sleep in, so most hours pass without thinking about it. As the ridge settles, wear can taper to maintenance.
Does it hurt?+
It shouldn't. You want firm, steady pressure on the ridge, present but comfortable, not painful. If it's sharp or sore, the pressure is set too high; ease the dial back. Some skin redness over the pads is normal; pain is the signal to reduce.
Can I work out in it?+
Yes, and you should. Wearing it while you train, plus the paired breathing work, is what helps the correction hold. You can wear it at the gym under your clothes comfortably.
Does it work for adults?+
It can. Younger, more flexible chests respond fastest, but adults with workable cartilage correct carinatum with consistent compression too, it simply takes longer. Message me about your chest and I’ll give you an honest read.
Why custom-built instead of an off-the-shelf compression brace?+
Because carinatum correction is about where the pressure lands. A brace built to your measurements puts the pad exactly on your ridge (centred or off-centre, wherever yours actually is) at even, adjustable pressure. Off-the-shelf braces assume a standard chest; the ridge is precisely where chests stop being standard.
Is it visible under a shirt?+
It's designed to sit flat under normal clothing. A regular T-shirt covers it in day-to-day life; nobody at school or work needs to know it's there.
How tight should it be?+
Firm, steady, comfortable, never painful. Pain doesn't speed correction; it kills the wear hours that actually produce it. The dial lets you find the right pressure and progress it gradually as the ridge responds, and the included guidance shows you how.
Will the ridge come back when I stop?+
Remodelled cartilage holds, but the exit should be gradual, not a hard stop at the first good mirror-day. You taper to maintenance hours while monitoring, and pairing the brace with training helps the corrected shape hold on its own.
Do I get a wear schedule with it?+
Yes, break-in, daily-hours build-up and pressure progression guidance ship with the brace, plus lifetime support: message me any time mid-protocol. For the full evidence-based method, the Carinatum Bracing Guide pairs with it.
Does it ship to my country?+
Worldwide, tracked. It ships 5–7 days after your measurements are confirmed, and you get the tracking number as soon as it leaves.
What happens after I order?+
You send your measurements, the guided process takes about five minutes, then your brace is built to them and ships in 5–7 days with tracking. If a measurement looks off, I contact you personally before building.
What if it doesn’t work for me?+
Message me inside 30 days and I’ll refund you in full, no explanation required. Support stays free for life either way, so if the brace is close but the fit is off, tell me before you ask for the money back and I’ll try to fix it first. You don’t need the original packaging and it doesn’t matter that you’ve worn it - you can’t judge a made-to-measure brace without wearing it. You cover tracked return postage; I refund everything you paid, shipping included.
